My background includes completing the Child Dev. and Early Childhood Ed. program at Lansing Community College, graduating in 2012 My doula training was completed after that at the Center for the Childbearing Year in Ann Arbor, MI. in 2013.
Before becoming a stay at home mom and doula, I worked with children ages 0-5 for about 5 years and I feel it gives me a good edge in helping my new mamas postpartum with newborn care and info!
I have added another venture into my busy life as of 2016, and that is the excitement of being a student midwife!! I work as an apprentice under a local midwife by the name of Connie Perkins. I absolutely love her and my work with her, and find so much joy coming from it thus far. I have enrolled into the midwives college of Utah and will be completeing my CPM certification in 4-6 short years online and in my apprenticship. I am always going to be a doula as well!! I love them both!
I provide birth doula services, offer breastfeeding support, and minimal childbirth education. Referral to outside entities in these categories, and others when needed.
